Powerhouse singer/songwriter Tanya George is a woman whose presence fills a room — her voice, her heart, and yes, her magnificent mane of curls. I wanted to pour all that radiant energy into this painting — to honour not just her incredible talent, but her joy, warmth, and light.

Musical notes are woven into the piece, symbolic of the melodies and meaning she shares with the world. And gold leaf dances through her hair, catching the light just as it did during our sitting — as if the sun itself were paying tribute. It shimmered through my studio window, threading its way through her curls like strands of prophecy.

Whether it was a sign of things to come or simply a glimpse of her inner glow made visible, this portrait is a celebration of luminous strength, creativity, and the golden fire that lives in the heart of a true artist.
